Login

ROS Answers can use OpenID logins. Such that if you're signed into an OpenID provider account such as Google. You can simply use them to login. It also allows a custom login, but the OpenID is recommended for password free convenience.

Subscriptions

You can get email notifications from the website when there is activity relating to tags in which you are interested.

Note: there are some known bugs with the email subscriptions at the moment. Please see open tickets in Trac and file new ones if you have a different issue.

Emails for specific tags

To setup emails for specific tags:

1. On the home page add tags to "Interested Tags" in the right sidebar.
2. Click on your username at the top to get your profile.
3. Click on the Subsriptions tab below the search box
4. select "Instantly" on the Entire Forum line
5. select "allow only selected tags"

Emails for all tags

To setup emails for specific tags:

1. Click on your username at the top to get your profile.
2. Click on the Subsriptions tab below the search box
3. select "Instantly" on the Entire Forum line
4. select "exclude ignored tags"
5. On the home page add tags to "Ignored Tags" in the right sidebar if you want to not get emails about them.
